School project
The Stereolux, a digital art and concert hall in Nantes, is planning to organize an exhibition for the 10 year anniversary of the building. They ask use to create interactive installations to share with the public the data of the evolution of the venue.
My group had to work on the concept of the “evolution through time” of the Stereolux. We decided to focus on the information regarding the number of artists, gigs and spectators coming each years.
Our main challenge was to find which analogy would match the most with the data we wanted to show.
We finally chose to use the shape of a projector, to “highlight” the artists that came to the Stereolux. We created a kind of a dashboard of a sound/light engineer to interact with the data.
To display the information, we designed an interface with decibel levels to fit with the installation.
We finally had time to create a functional prototype to illustrate our idea.
Some 3D rendering of the final concept.
